WORKFORCE INNOVATIVE OPPORTUNITY ACT (WIOA)

Designed for job seekers. WIOA is a Department of Labor, Workforce Development Division at the America’s Job Center. The program provides employment and training services to people who are unemployed.

EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING FUND (ETF)

Designed for employees. ETF is a Department of Labor program designed for businesses that need to enhance the skills of their employees.

Employers are eligible to receive up to 50% (maximum $800 tuition cap) of tuition costs provided by approved vendors. To apply, submit an Eligibility Form to the Department of Labor, WDD office. They will send the registration information to Kauai Community College OCET. It takes at least 15 business days for WDD to process requests.
